Same with me. But I think over time, people have formed an assumption that I'm the unfriendliest guy there is in the gym, cos compared to all the other 'social' people out there, I look like the bad guy. lol.

that's right, some people think it is a popularity contest.
and some class instructors even worse, they pretend to be interested and friendly when you are in their class, but immediately after they can ignore you even in another corner of the same gym... that i don't understand???? why even bother in the first place, right???

I wish that I've got that "I'm not here to talk" shirt by Animal...but too bad I'm a little too small for it
would really love to have those kind of t-shirts. Maybe DM can start thinking of doing merchandising now. *wink*

KevL, I am always on my earphone whenever I work out, as a body language saying "I'm an anti-social person, ain't here to talk to you" and etc etc. But somehow, this Indian guy (no offense ya, DM, I'm totally not discriminating against Indian or whatsoever, and this is the same Indian guy who asked me if I were a butch, for Christ's sake!) kept on walking towards me during workout and chat chat chat chat bla bla bla.

The funny thing is that, previously, having bumped into him at the gym for quite some time, I have told him directly that whenever I am on my earphone and during workout, it totally means "DO NOT DISTURB". He was laughing at me and all, and said that I'm lansi. I don't really care, but after that day, we bumped into each other again at the gym, and guess what? When he saw me resting in between my sets, he came over, waved in front of me (was on the earphone), and started chatting. Goodness!! Maybe he's blind lar!

After finished talking to me, he went to another guy who's working out there, and started chatting again. When he was leaving, I immediately perli him.

Me : Wah. You aarrr.....after chat with me, u go and chat with other ppl. No need to work out ar??
Indian guy : I'm finished with my workout already. *Smirk*
I was like, you are not even sweating!!
Me : Oh really?? But I'm not done with my workout larrrr...and you've bloody wasted my 15mins. (It was already 1015pm that time and I've got few more sets to go...damn!)

Then he changed topic and started talking for another good 5 mins!! Bloody helll!!!

So now I'm like, officially avoiding him by going to another outlet, coz apparently, he's too dumb to notice me wearing earphones and working out.

But that outlet was rather disappointing, which such limited benches and workout area (free weights), swarming with lotsa Arnold-Schwarzenegger-wannabe, hogging all the equipments, leaving me with no choice but to went home without completing my exercises of the day.

Sorry. This bit was out of topic...but.....oh well.........damn that Indian guy.

Goodness, to think a ferrari-driving guy would have a canggih gym at home. Oh well, why would he want to workout at home when he can pickup cute girls like adeline at the gym, eh?

Well just take the positives out of it. There's always 2 ways to look at things hehe.

Just got back from a biz trip for 2 weeks or so and today morning was the first time back in the local gym. Got so frustrated with the sight of dumb bells and ez bars sprawled across the free weights section and all the benches was loaded with weights. Geez, I have no idea which numbskull caused the mess.
Just a random rant I need to make LOL - not a pleasant sight to behold in the gym at 7:30am in the morning.

ferrari? He probably uses it to 'cover up' for what he lacks - like common sense. LOL. Adeline... Maybe he cannot resist ur 6-pack abs thats why he keeps coming after u.. Hehe. I wish I had women in Ferraris coming after me - but then again, i too would get annoyed if she kept disturbing my workouts!

DM....I dont have 6pack lar. I am and still working really hard for it. Now I really believe that, as we grow older, metabolisme is slowing down and we need double hardwork to really work on getting 6 pack.....should've started 10 years ago... hehehehe.....

Adeline1204 : Well, put it this way. It isn't too bad compared to mine.

I get ask "Why are you being hung upside down every time you come to the gym?" Or "Why is she so special that she can get to hang and we can't?" And it always happen when my feet are sticking up in the air and the fitness instructor tells them that they aren't allowed to be hung since they aren't undergoing PT. Trying to think while hanging upside down isn't easy.

"I'm Undergoing Spinal Treatment. Shut up already!"
